  • Charleston SC Wedding Photographer: Hi! I'm Aly Greer, a wedding photographer for Charleston and worldwide. I share love stories, wedding tips, and photoshop magic. I love my family, coffee, donuts and dogs! Do we have anything in common?

Photography in the Modern South: What does the "modern south" mean? For me, it means tradition with a twist. Think front porches, comfort food, bowties, nice manners...meets urban farming, pinterest projects, thrift store shopping, breaking the rules...and top it off with a little splash of "bless their heart." I live in Charleston (definitely the modern south), but am also available to travel worldwide.

Nashville Baby Photography – Lilly 4 months

I met this little one back in November when I photographed her at a few weeks old. I was excited to get to see her last weekend to see how much she had grown! Even though we started out the shoot on a warm and sunny 60 degree day, about 30 minutes into the shoot we lost our sun…and our 60 degrees. Despite the clouds and windy conditions, Lilly and her mom were troopers and we had fun trying to get little Miss Lilly to laugh. (And if you saw a crazy girl in a park on Friday rattling keys and making mouth bubbles, that was probably me). ๐Ÿ™‚

Sweet, sweet little thing. Can’t wait to see her again in a few months! ๐Ÿ™‚

Are you crazy in love?

Can you feel the love tonight? Would you do anything for love, but you won’t do that? {Whatever “that” is, according to Meatloaf?}.

If you answered “Yes!” to any of the above, then I have the solution to all of your valentines day gift woes.

Gentlemen…do you want to wow your lady with your mad creative gift giving skills? Look no further. Wild Cotton will be offering {valentines themed!} gift certificates to be used toward a photo shoot of your choice {Maternity, infant, family, couples…the sessions are endless}.

Meg and Tim – W.O. Smith Wedding

I had the pleasure of getting to wine and dine with these two last night, so I wanted to share their wedding with you today! ๐Ÿ™‚ Meg and Tim got married at W.O. Smith Music School in downtown Nashville, and I was amazed that I had never been inside that beautiful building before. Enjoy!

They also opted for a first look before the ceremony on the pedestrian bridge, and I am so glad they did – it resulted in some amazing images. Seeing Tim’s huge grin when he saw his bride for the first time was an awesome thing to be a part of.

Back at W.O. Smith, we managed to squeeze in family photos during sunset to catch some of the gorgeous golden light at the end of the day. Thank goodness for a random 60 degree day in January!

They both left with big smiles after a night full of great food and dancing. Congrats to you both, and I hope your first week of marriage has been wonderful!

Venue: W.O. Smith Music School

Caterer: The Chef and I

Dress: The White Room

Hair: Fruition Salon
