Getting to photograph a friend made this Charleston engagement session extra fun! We started out Ashley and Jack’s shoot with some spring weather and a stop by the bench where he proposed, and finished over on Pitt St Bridge in the middle of some weird winter fog. I don’t think I’ve ever had the weather change that much during a shoot, but luckily they were prepared with their outfit choices! 😉 I can’t wait to photograph their wedding this summer!

      The new year has started but I have one last bit of Christmas cheer for those of you hanging on to the holiday spirit! Becca and Halden’s Charleston Christmas Engagement session was such a fun way to wrap up the year! We ended up hitting a few spots that gave me major Hallmark movie vibes, and Becca’s romantic red dress on the beach (despite freezing temps) was the icing on the cake. Enjoy and Happy New Year!
I’m wrapping up editing Thomas and Mary Beth’s I’On Creek Club wedding today and I’m so excited to share it with you! These two had a sweet oyster themed celebration and despite some wind and rain earlier in the day, we lucked out with gorgeous weather for the ceremony and reception! I loved that this December wedding felt Christmas-y in a subtle way, like having oyster ornaments as favors!

Dress: Bridal House of Charleston Hair/Makeup: Lashes and Lace “It’s like rain…..on your wedding day…” Or a LOT of rain in this Magnolia Plantation Wedding! Taylor and Josh handled the gloomy weather like champs and ELM events pulled off a gorgeous “Plan B” indoor ceremony and reception. These two met in college after constantly running into each other before a class. Taylor purposefully sat next to him one day (after a quick pep talk from her mom on the phone), Josh finally struck up a conversation and the rest is history! 😉 We luckily had a brief 30 minute break in the rain- just long enough to do a few bride and groom photos outside on the lovely Magnolia Bridge and gardens. Taylor and Josh had quite the dance party to end the night, and dancing kept everyone nice and warm on the chilly evening.
