Photography in the Modern South: What does the "modern south" mean? For me, it means tradition with a twist. Think front porches, comfort food, bowties, nice manners...meets urban farming, pinterest projects, thrift store shopping, breaking the rules...and top it off with a little splash of "bless their heart." I live in Charleston (definitely the modern south), but am also available to travel worldwide.

Berkeley Hall Wedding: Weslee and Thacker

I am so excited to share this Berkeley Hall wedding with y’all! Weslee and Thacker are obsessed with their dog and Clemson, which is to say they are my favorite kind of people. These two laughed so much on their wedding day it was contagious, and that spirit is what helped them wait 1,110 days for their wedding! Covid-19 restrictions caused a delay and a venue change, but this couple and Bouquets and Bowties handled it with grace and pulled off an epic day. Enjoy!

Charleston Engagement: Carolynn & Zach

Carolynn and Zach’s Charleston engagement session was so much fun! We laughed a LOT. These two are getting married next spring at Alhambra Hall (one of my faves since that is where we got married!) and its already getting me excited for the 2021 season! Happy Wednesday friends!

Charleston Engagement Session: Ally & Michael

When Ally told me she was going to bring their dog Lulu for some of their engagement session, it made me extra excited to photograph them. I was lucky enough to know Ally and Michael before they were my clients because they both work for the same company as my husband! Sweet Lulu modeled like a pro for us, and then we finished up the rest of the session at another spot downtown. I can’t wait for their wedding next year at the lovely Cedar Room!

Colorful River House Wedding: Becca & Halden

Becca and Halden had a lovely River House wedding earlier this month, and their celebration was so colorful and joyful! These two are both pilots, so there were sentimental and fun touches that reflected their careers in things like the menu cards and seating chart. Despite Covid keeping them apart on travel restrictions for much of the time leading up to the wedding, these two managed to learn a choreographed first dance in two days and knocked it out of the park!
