Photography in the Modern South: What does the "modern south" mean? For me, it means tradition with a twist. Think front porches, comfort food, bowties, nice manners...meets urban farming, pinterest projects, thrift store shopping, breaking the rules...and top it off with a little splash of "bless their heart." I live in Charleston (definitely the modern south), but am also available to travel worldwide.

Nashville Wedding: Danielle & Trip

I had the pleasure of photographing Danielle and Trip 3 times this year….2 other weddings (Kourtney & Matt and Ben & Tina) and now finally their own! I love getting to know my clients and their friends/families and just have such a special fondness for all 3 of these Wild Cotton couples! Danielle and Trip had a gorgeous wedding last weekend at Scarritt Bennet and had a lovely and emotional first look (I wasn’t the only one crying this time haha!). Enjoy!

Riverwood Mansion Wedding: Lauren & Charlie

Its almost been a week and I am still dying over the gorgeousness of last weekend. Riverwood Mansion is always a favorite, and when you combine that with a fun couple and a PUPPY….#winning. Lauren and Charlie laugh so much together it is contagious. I loved getting to know them and their families and it is so lovely to see people who hug each other tightly, throw their heads back in laughter, and are fully present together. Enjoy!

Engagement Session: Fran & Hampton

When I lived in Charleston right out of college (pre- Nashville), I had the fortune of knowing sweet Fran! I was so excited when I got an email from her saying she was engaged and I had the best time photographing her and Hampton last weekend. These two even got up super early on a Sunday for me. 😉 I can’t wait for their wedding in Savannah early next year!

Nashville Wedding: Luba & Blake

Luba and Blake got married at historic Cragfont this past weekend and it was so sweet! This wedding was full of personal details- Blake built the benches used as seating during the ceremony, the couple created a spice blend as their favors, and they had custom wine made just for their wedding by a family friend! I love seeing how a bride and groom’s personalities are reflected in the small details of a wedding day. 🙂 Enjoy!
