Now that Hilary and Wil are married, I can finally share her lovely bridal session at Lowndes Grove Plantation. This venue is one of my favorites for bridal portraits since it has beautiful indoor and outdoor options.       This Charleston engagement shoot was extra special because it was for some dear friends! While working through these photos I could not get over just how joyful Sara and Wesley look. We laughed so much during the shoot that it didn’t even feel like work! Despite having to duck under some windowboxes to escape a quick rain shower downtown, the rain was totally worth it since we lucked out with a rainbow and gorgeous sunset at the end of the shoot. Can’t wait for their wedding at Boone Hall next year!
Happy Monday! Its been about a week since I photographed Catalina and Corwin’s engagement session and I’m still so happy that they included their love for oysters (and a fun stop at The Darling Oyster Bar) in their shoot! Incorporating personal details into your engagement photos is such a fun way to make them unique. 🙂 These two are getting married at the Legare Waring House next year and I can’t wait to photograph them again under the lovely oaks there! Last weekend was full of engagement sessions, and photographing Jess and Brooks at her alma mater added such a fun personal element to their shoot! C of C’s Cistern Yard is a gorgeous spot for photos and it didn’t disappoint. These two have known each other for years, and the level of comfort they have with each other was so fun to document. Victoria and Austin had a sweet ceremony at St. Luke’s followed by a reception at Francis Marion last weekend. These two not only gave each other really thoughtful gifts but they wrote their own vows! When Austin finished his with “I can’t wait to grow old with you,” I don’t think I was the only one wiping away some tears. Their reception had an amazing dance party along with lots of fun surprises for their guests…a chocolate fountain, corn hole, and late night pizza!
